Gutter Guppy Instructor Program

2026 Rancho Gutter Guppy Instructors Program – Applicants Do Not Need To Be Rancho Swimmers To Apply! This season we are introducing our Gutter Guppy Instructors Program. Supervised by the Gutter Guppy Director, Taylor Brown, Instructors will teach foundational swimming skills to our guppy swimmers! Instructors are paid $25-30/hour (depending on experience), bi-weekly via direct deposit.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Teach foundational swim skills (floating, kicking, strokes, breathing)
- Keep lessons fun with games and activities
- Ensure participant safety at all times
- Provide progress updates to the Gutter Guppy Director
The Gutter Guppy program, our swimming program for 4 to 6 year olds, is looking for dynamic and encouraging Swim Instructors to lead our little guppies to success in the pool. They’ll teach foundational swimming skills, boost water confidence, and make every lesson a building block to a successful swim team experience. If you love working with kids and creating a fun, safe learning environment, we would be happy to have the opportunity for you to work with us.
Gutter Guppy Instructors are expected to demonstrate leadership and positivity while creating a successful swim team experience for our little guppy swimmers. Candidates do not need to swim as a member of the Rancho Colorados Swim Team, but do need to possess a strong swimming ability and patience while working with young children. Experience with swim lessons is a plus, but not required.
