Swim Team Summer Program
Eligibility:
Above all, we want our Wahoos to be successful in the water while enjoying their time as a member of the team. We hope that they look forward to practices and meets. To join the swim team, swimmers should be comfortable in the water so that swimming laps, 5 days a week, is not discouraging. In order to begin workouts with swim team, we suggest swimmers to be able to:
- Swim one lap (25 yds) freestyle, unassisted.
- Swim backstroke with limited assistance. Swimmers must be comfortable in the water swimming on their backside for safety reasons.
- Understand that they should be diving into the pool fingers first, and are very close to doing so (vs. feet first).
Please note, with the exception of High School swimmers, all families are required to join Rancho Colorados Swim and Tennis Club in order to participate on the swim team.

Session dates: April 6-July 24, 2026. Note: Our midseason break is June 28 - July 5, 2026.
Practice days and workout times*:
April 6-May 29, 2026 Monday–Friday
- 7/8: 3:30–4:15 PM
- 6 & Under: 4:15–4:45 PM
- 9/10: 4:45–5:45 PM
- 11 & Up: 5:45–6:45 PM
June 1-July 24, 2026: Monday–Friday**
- 11 & Up: 8:00–9:15 AM
- 9/10: 9:15–10:15 AM
- 7/8: 10:15–11:00 AM
- 6 & Under: 11:00–11:30 AM
Optional Dryland Practice starting June 1st
- 11 & Up: Dryland will be incorporated within the daily practice M-F
- 9/10: 10:15–10:30 AM M/F only
- 7/8: 11:00–11:15 AM M/F only
- 6 & Under: 11:30–11:45 AM F only

Refund policy for Swim Team summer program: For 8th Grade & Under, the last day for refunds, minus a $50 processing fee per swimmer, is Sunday, April 5, 2026. For swimmers in high school, the last day for refunds, minus a $20 processing fee per swimmer, is Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Note: In the event of unexpected or unforeseen, extended periods of pool closure, the swim team committee will evaluate refunds and make up sessions at that time.
